Framing

Framing helps to protect and preserve the painting, whilst giving it ample space to be presented to the viewer. Avoid direct sunlight where you decide to hang the framed painting.

I recommend going to a good picture framers and have your painting window mounted in off white card, with plenty of space around it. Non reflective glass is best in a nice simple, black beveled,  wooden frame. Also see what the framer recommends.

You can also go to IKEA and get a cheap frame off the shelf, firstly you need to get the card window mount from the framers cut to a standard size, then take the whole picture with you to the shop and hold it up to each frame to see what it looks like.

Vintage frames can be found in second hand shops, markets or the attic. Again, have the painting window mounted to the correct measurements.
